NEW Big Brake option for RA OFFICIALLY FOR SALE

(see post #37 for packages. Now for sale http://www.clubralliart.com/showpost...2&postcount=37)

Installed the first set on my car 8/1/2013, and they are INCREDIBLE. Keep in mind that I have 19's on my car, so they look smaller than they actually are, but they will clear 18's. And the best part? NO caliper bracket, NO spacers. Uses Evo X 350mm rotors. Calipers are HUGE 6 pot monoblock Brembos with a huge pad. And yes, they look insanely expensive, but check out the prices in the link above!

You're such a tease. I want to do endo with my ralliart.

TrailBrake 06-11-2013 06:12 PM

Sweet :D

Any plans for testing it on the track?

Polaris 06-11-2013 06:15 PM

If you can hook me up with a set I will gladly track test them and put my car on the line :)

btw...really like the yellow calipers

Fstarz 06-11-2013 06:47 PM

WOW... I would def be down for set. Im actually waiting to hear back from Futura on a BBK kit for the Ralliart. :D

Sounds like this might be a cheaper route with all that's in included.

Would you need buyer to supply the Evo X brake calipers?

BravoZero 06-11-2013 08:06 PM

If I still had my Ralliart, this would have been bumped up to top priority. Nice.

Deff interested! have you tested it on the stock 18's? looks like it fills out ur 19's.

Thanks for the input, gentlemen. I will try to answer all of the questions.

IDK about track testing myself. I will put them through the ringer on street testing, but I don't have the tire budget to go chew up time at the track.

Thanks. I was really back and forth with the color choice, but I am really glad I went with the yellow too.

Do you mean rotors? These aren't Evo calipers. They are a good bit larger. They use Evo X rotors, which will come with the kit.

STOCK 18's? SERIOUSLY doubt it without spacers. These calipers, albeit alot larger, seem to occupy the same amount of space as stock Evo X calipers when it comes to wheel clearance. It isn't the diameter of this setup that gets you, but the spoke clearance of the wheel to the caliper face. My wheels are concave, so the clearance on the caliper face is REALLY close. I am 95% certain these would clear Evo X wheels on a RA no prob, but haven't actually tested the fit. If you have X wheels and are in the area, we can meet up and test it out, if you would like.

AH OK.. I was under the assumption that these were Evo calipers that were fitted to the ralliart. So they are larger?! sheeeit

Are these authentic Brembos? If so, mark me down for a kit.

Yes, authentic OEM Brembos. Where do these calipers originate? They come OEM on two GM models (2009+ Cadillac CTS-V and the Camaro ZL1). The calipers have to be machined on the mating face (done professionally on a CNC milling center) to match the offset of the Evo X rotor with our spindle, but this is on the mating face and not removing the caliper support structure like guys have to do to actually put Evo X Brembos on. After that, it is a direct bolt on affair without brackets or anything. You DO have to drill out the spindle of the car from 12mm to 14mm, though, as these calipers take 14mm bolts, but that is a one time thing and pretty easy to do since you are only opening the caliper mounting holes by 2mm (0.080"). And if you ever want to go back to stock brakes, you just buy some 14mm-12mm bushings from the hardware store to slide back in to the spindle so the stock 12mm bolts fit properly.
