Default Wheels rubbing

Ok guys just wondering if any of u has problems with the rims rubbing on the inside on the wheels? After I had my winter set put on my oem rims the tires were slightly smaller instead of 215 45 18 they were 225 35 18. would this cause a rub? I did notice a smell but just thought it was the exhaust. Until I put on my summer set and noticed the inner lip of my rims are all worn down. I can't figure out what would cause it. And it was only 3 of the rims the 4th had no rub at all

Why a 225/35? Winter tires are best run slight under pressure and need 'give'. Skinnier and taller!

I'm on stock suspension so no drop and the tire size is bc I bought them on evolutionm and they were a good deal .
And I didn't a little more thinking about it and I think it's from the shop that took off the old tread and put on my winter tread. The mech prolly had the machince to tight Which pisses me off that they ruined my rims. So ill go pay them a visit today.

you said inner lip is rubbing, to reiterate, you mean the side closest to the strut?
