Default Wheels/Tires Swap

This is probably a silly question but I figure you guys since most of you have aftermarket wheels.

I am going to be looking at Tire/Wheels combos and wanted to see whats size tires would I get with 18 inch rims without having to have to make any adjustments. I'm looking for any suggestions.

Also would I need to get sensors that they have on Tire Rack. Someone said if you dont have them your lights will pop up on the dashboard.

To know a true tire size we would also need to know the width and also offset (if your going more aggressive) of the wheels your thinking about but as for height the stock tires are 45's on 18's so that would be your best bet to avoid anything weird happening like your mileage being off.

As for the sensors, I, and most other people, just have the sensors taken out of the old wheels and put into the new ones.

Im thinking more of a wider tire. But like I said I'm not dropping the car anytime soon and I don't want to make any adjustments more of a Swap and go by myself. Is that possible if I went more that 215 stock?

I went with 17's for my daily summers. 245/45/17. They look meaty too.

Tires are cheaper and the ride is only slightly better.
The size match is about as close as you can get from the factory OEM setup. OEM is 204.4cm and combo above is 204.9 (-0.2% speedo).

You will need to remove the TPMS sensors from your current setup and put them in whatever wheels you do decided to go with.

Well I was going to buy the tires/wheels with the sensors.

My main things is I want 18s were I can just simply take the stock wheels w/ tires off and put the new ones without any modifications or adjustments.

My questions is can i got Wider tire without modification or would I have to go stock size/height/etc for a simple swap and go.

You can put wider tires on without modification.

How wide can I go without scraping and is there anything specific I need to look for when getting a rim to go with it?

The posted above me took the words out of my mouth. That thread has every single variation of wheel and tire setups. You can go as wide as you want. You just have to make sure that the offset is low enough, on wider setups, to clear the linkages. The unfortunate truth is that you are more than likely going to need to roll your fenders with a really wide setup. I did it, and it isn't a big deal. Good luck.
