I've been wanting to try it but have to control myself...

But in theory, instead of constant reving.
What if one was to time the tree?
first step to rev it up & second step to launch?

During my 1/4mile test & tune I just waited til the tree turn 3rd yellow & WOT
slight lag but it worked out for the best for me, as the tree turn green my lag was done & off I go...

I've been thinking about Neutral drop too, technically thats how 5spd launch 2stepping is. Same principle as Neutral drop.
So who is going to test it???

Negative... That is NOT how you would launch an Evo... the PROPER WAY to launch an Evo (5/6Speed) Is to pre-load the trans along with suspension and slip aggressively along with the WOT. If you dump the clutch trying to "launch" the car will jolt forward and then fall on it's face.

I have launched my 9 plenty of times and I cut 1.4-1.5 60ft ALL DAY.

N bomb the trans and we will see you post a part out thread and how you hate mitsu cause they didn't want to give you a new trans.

Im not going to part out. I love my RA, my SST is better than the day I bought it.

My RA is dirty from dd over 37k miles now. Windshield still have some adhesive from tint removal. Tires are getting worn down. Brakes, I dont use it much since I dont speed, I drive speed limit.

None the less, I've tried it with rental cars, thats why I pay insurance so all I would have to do is bring back the keys. Also along with my list of whats-wrong-with-the-car when I return it. They would usually upgrade me to a better car next time around.

Yes, it would be stress to drive-train. Reason why I've been controlling myself from doing so.
I will once I better understand my RA, her in & out.

By no means am I trying to encourage anybody. Since this has been done by others, Im just trying to get better understanding what works & doesnt.
Why doesnt it work etc...
Once I have enough budget to bullet proof the SST I would try it.

Noted.

Reasonw why i dont see it working is that... I dont think you can build boost off the line and of course it shortens the life span of the clutches. Being that the computer searches for certain things I dont think it would be the wises PLUS, like I was saying, i doubt you'd improve taking off.

With that said, being that I have a huge history with drag racing, You bound to blow the TC since the RA is kinda/if not based off the 9 technology. Just saying....... Have fun shoot us a video when you do it =)

I'm able to spin the tires launching the RA... not Chirp but Spin and I'm on the stock Turbo with the track being Prepped for traction.
