they should, or at least fill it. I mean if they remove the pump with a new one, there would be air pockets in the system I would imagine. they'd have to bleed that.

kind of like if a dealer replaces an automatic transmission. they'd still need to fill it with AT fluid.

Thanks for the reply Macky, thats exactly what I was thinking. I hope they do, I have a feeling my old fluid is getting thick. Might be one of the reasons pump went bad but not sure exactly.

So how would the warranty work on the new pump that they will replace it with? Will I get a new warranty of some sort on the pump?

More headaches..so I took the car to the dealership to have a new ACD pump installed, after patiently waiting for over 5 hours technician comes out and tells me I will need a new transfer case as well and it will be covered under warranty too. Technician explained that the seals of the transfer case were failing and there was also a leak in the transfer case. They ordered a new transfer case, car will be in the shop til next Wednesday.

I think they would only cover the ACD pump under the new car 3yr warranty. They would not cover in under the drivetrain waranty which pissed alot of people including me off.

No I meant if the ACD pump fails on you within the first 3yr/36k they will cover it. After that they won't cover it. In your case, was your car still within 3yr/36K when they replaced it under warranty?
