Default Sportback Bike Rack

Hi guys, i know most people on the forums use the roof rack to lug around their bikes. I was looking to purchase a trunk carrier like the thule raceway that attaches to the trunk and i was wondering if anybody out there with sport backs have any experience with these types of bike carriers? Do they even fit with our spoilers in the way? What are your guys' thoughts about a trunk carrier vs the roof rack itself? I pretty much only ride during the weekends and thought this route would be better for me since i'd be taking the rack off after each use...

anyways, hope somebody out there can shed some light on this since i have yet to see a sport back use a trunk carrier for their bikes...

thanks

If you get a rack that uses the built in mounts on the sportback, you can take off the rack in under 5 minutes once you get it all set up correctly.

4 bolts.

Here is what I use:

Would you mind giving more details on that. Like maybe a model, or something. I've never went with a roof top carrier, but that looks pretty slick.

Pieces used:

Thule 460R Podium Aero Fixpoint Foot
Thule RB47 47 Inch Rapid Load Bars
Thule Podium Fit Kit 3071
Thule 91725 Universal Flat Top 6

The only issue you will have, with snowboards, is Mitsubishi put the mount points way too close to each other front to back. So you can't but a snowboard on with the bindings between the bars, so you have to put it with with one binding behind the rear bar, and then you can't open the hatch without hitting the board. It kind of bummed me out.

Picture to explain:

You can go to your Mitsubishi dealer and order the roof rail kit: MZ314263...direct fit for the Sportback roof.
Similar as Thule, but says 'Mitsubishi'...dealer where I got it often has a ''15% off accessories'' sale

Dunno about the trunk carriers on Ralliart Sportbacks, but I would like to find a tow bar and have the hitch type of bike carrier...

I wouldn't say similar, I'd say that's the exact same thing as Thule.

I have access to pad printing or screen printing. FYI. We can even print RALLI//ART logo on them.
Or laser etch em too. I no longer work for the company but have plenty of friends/coworkers still owes me a lot of favors.
