Default Crank pulley?

Anyone have one? Is it legit or a waste of money? In theory there shouldn't be any issues with fitment right? I'm coming up on changing my timing belt soon anyway.

I think we had a thread about this pulley already, I was actually looking for one but the only proble in that this pulley replaces the crank pulley and harmonic balancer sorry if I spelt that wrong. Our balancers keep the crank stable under power. This 1 or so pound pulley will cause engine failure when making power sooner or later. all in all dont get this unless your ok with potentially purchasing another engine. Search the forms and you will get the prose and cons of this upgrade.

Don't do it. Not a good investment. The most important question now is. Was your SST fluid and filter changed??????????

Agency Power is Chinese stuff marketed by Vivid. Even if the pulley makes 3 whp there are 100 other ways to make 3 whp on a turbo car. Methods one through 10 million being turn up the boost a 0.25 psi.

I don't know if I would buy one off Ebay from a Mega Merchant, but if you could get one used off one of these forum type sites I say go for it. Trust me, there are plenty of people with more cash than brains that have bought one at top dollar. Then they decided to "research" the product and read all the horror stories. It is a light weight pulley. It is just like a lighter crank, flywheel, drive shaft, etc, and etc. Revs faster with less parasitic horsepower loss and so on. It is just like any other aftermarket part, what you gain in performance you lose in reliability. You most likely will have a new harmonic/vibration at a certain RPM that you didn’t have with the stocker. Besides the stock pulley being cheaper, it is heavier for a reason, it is going to absorb a certain harmonic. Removing the pulley isn’t that much more complicated than changing a serpentine belt, but most likely you will have to drop the engine a bit so the pulley will clear the frame rail. Good luck finding that tidbit on one of those YouTube Pulley Swap Videos. This info isn’t something I have read, it is something I have first hand experience with. Does the car rev a bit more? Yes. Is there a bit more vibration? Yes, but my tires are wore out also. Did I keep the stock pulley? Hell yes!!
