Replacement BOV
Just want some advice on what to choose for a new BOV, as the plastic one is just tacky and makes the engine bay look cheap.
If anyone has the part number for the EVO X MR Blow off valve, I can get one cheap straight from mitsubishi (I work for the largest parts company in australia, AMCAP.)
I also have the part number for an EVO 8 MR blow off valve, which I can get for $180 AUD, but im not sure if thats a good enough BOV, or whether or not it will actually fit.
Third option is aftermarket, and i've narrowed it down to the TurboSmart Dual Port BOV, which i'll get from ebay.
What should i get D:?

Use the search function, there are plenty of posts related to what BOV/BPV to get.
Short version... just an a metal Evo BPV and call it a day. Most aftermarket BOV's aren't good for this car because of the transmission.

I did use the search function but I couldn't find any posts regarding part number for the evo X BOV.
For anyone who cares, the part number for the EVO 8 MR BOV is 1545A001, just ring any mitsi dealer with that number and they should be able to supply it.

the evo 8/9 bov looks exactly the same as the one AMS sells to replace the plastic RA one.

Only difference between the Evo 10 metal bov and the Evo 7/8/9 metal bov is that the vacumn nipple is rotated the opposite way.
Both will work on the RA. For the 7/8/9 version you just need slightly longer vacumn hose.

Evo X DV "nipple" point to the engine
Evo VIII & IX DV "nipple" point to the engine air filter.
I got Evo IX DV "nipple" point to the engine air filter, which requires a few inches longer (thats what she said) vacuum hose. Too short of a hose create a "J", it may not vacuum like it is suppose to.
If you got an evo X dv you should be able to use your stock vacuum hose. The "nipple" point the same direction as the stock plastic one. Evo VIII & IX DV "nipple" points opposite direction.
