Default Tow Hook

So I own a 2012, and I'm not sure if this is on previous RA's, or what this even is, but I want to put a tow hook right here just for aesthetic purposes. Ill probably make a how to while i do it, but any idea what this is for? thanks. I tried popping it off, but i didnt want to break it.

There's nothing there for you. No, really. The USDM Ralliart doesn't have a tow hook mount on the crash beam. All you're going to find behind that cover is foam. I looked because I was going to use it for a front plate mount I had but no love. You can spend $250+ on a JDM crash beam but at that point.....

Take the foam piece off and then drill your crash beam that's all

For strength weld the right size nut to a plate, then slide it in from an end. I can think of a few different ways you can tack the plate in place from the hole you drill. Keep it from moving.

Or, since you are doing it for "looks" (although I have no clue what looks good about a tow hook protruding from the front of the car), follow these steps...

1) Go to Home Depot and buy some thick plastic sheeting and your choice of metallic spray paint.
2) Draw THIS on sheet with sharpie

3) Take box cutter and cut out shape.
4) Spray paint that mofo
5) Jam end with two small holes in foam behind the cap
6) Enjoy all the extra ladies you get with your awesome new mod.

If memory serves me correctly, aren't there tow hooks below the front bumper, set back a bit and toward the center?

Not that I have used them though, but I would hope they are there for a reason
