This was removed April 2013 When new Alpine deck was installed.

RE-Q

The Re-Q Volume Sensing Bass Restorer allows you to connect any amplifier to any factory head unit. Now you can listen to your music as it was meant to be heard, and open up endless possibilities for after market products.
It then compensates for bass roll off - when the head unit diminishes bass as volume is increased to protect speakers - by restoring lost or diminished low end frequencies.

Frequencies: 40Hz - 200Hz

Subsonic Filter

4 RCA Outputs

Separate EQ Controls Per Channels

Adjustable Subwoofer Low Pass Frequency

Now to show you the finished product. I have 3 teen agers and a wife so I am forever playing taxi driver. At any given time I may have to go grocery shopping or pick up kids ect. So I need to be able to throw at least 3 backpacks and assorted stuff in my trunk. I needed an install that would minimize space needed while protecting all my electronics. I went to several places that had young kids working there but they all had stupid ideas of where to put the equipment like amps under my front seats. I explaned to him both my boys are 16 and 19 and have size 13 feet. They would no doubt damage something add to it I drive my car in the winter and don't want melting snow to short something out.

Anyway after going to about a half dozen places I decided to come up with my own design and found a good experienced custom installer who absolutely loved my ideas and did a lot of the custom fabrication for free because he wanted to see this design become reality. I told him how I wanted the amps vertical on each side but recessed into a board to both show them off and protect all the wiring to them. I wanted to minimize the amount of space used and be able to still fold down my seats for over size cargo and wanted it to look factory. A tall order but he got it done including fabrication a custom box off the end of one panel to fit my sub. I told him I wanted to still use the factory deck for the next year or so and wanted to still have use of my steering wheel stereo controls etc.

Anyway here are the pics of the finished product. All the factory speakers were replaced with the high end energy units and fitted into the factory locations for a stealth stock look. Sheet metal on the doors had to be cut out to handle the bigger and deeper speakers.

The before picture.

and the after picture.

No use showing the interior because well it just looks stock, just showing the cheap factory deck. But only I know I have 1100 watts on tap and because I knew the Manager at the future shop as well as several of the employees because I happen to do their alarm and CCTV system at the time they gave me a break. Like over 50% off and that does not include all the free custom work. The Re Que is hidden in the dash behind the glove box and the stinger cap is hidden underneath with the spare tire. I have taken the car autocross, ice racing ,off road racing and nothing has come loose or screwed up LOL !
