The jerkiness is your motor mounts, not the transmission. That won't go away.
Unless you upgrade the motor mounts, then you'll just have a lot more cabin vibration. For the women though... maybe it's not such a bad idea???

You said anal.

I haven't had a problem on EvoM. A couple of d-nozzles, but nothing serious.

Anyway, back on topic.

1). No, the colors should be completely different. If the FFL-4 is what they are putting in the new M3, it should be red. FFL-2 should be gold, in color. FFL-3 (Porsche DPK fluid) is anyone's guess (Orange, maybe?).

2). Talk to your dealership, if you are worried about voiding anything. The dealership, here in town, had no problem with the fluid.

Thanks.

Unfortunately dealers here have an extremely low tollerence for use of anything they don't supply.

Eh, it is always worth asking. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

It depends on who you ask. It is always a crap-shoot, but you can usually find someone who knows about this/has experience/is willing to actually talk to a customer. They won't remember the conversation when push comes to shove.

The tech at the dealership in town has been working on Mitsubishi's with questionable transmission servicing guidelines since the late 80's. The original VR4's had the same sort of issues. Mitsubishi would not authorize tech's to open the transmissions up. The older guys should know/remember how that problem was eventually dealt with.

That's the first thread I read.
Then I decided to share the info here.

Thanks for starting the discussion here

Does anyone think it would be of value to put some of the key points of this thread in a repository or how-to, so that we can find the info easily in the future?

This might be easier than having to read through the entire thread. Just an idea.

I'll do that along with the how to in the next 2-3 weeks.
